What happened to Butkus ?

I'm assuming that the two turtles Rocky was feeding were Cuff and Link but what ever happened to his dog Butkus ?

Maybe he died...but Sly didn't want to tell us directly...
How many years does a dog live? I'm not very good at dogs...
And I think that Rocky took Butkus when he was a little bit old...I mean, he didn't look like a puppy

Butkus was dead. Rocky got Butkus 30 years ago and like champ said, Butkus was not a pup when Rock got him. My guess is that Butkus, in the story of course, died somewhere between Rocky 2 and 3. Did you guys know that Butkus was Sly's real dog?

Butkus had a heart attack and died in 1981. He was chasing two dogs through a wooden fence and it hit him. I think it was two dogs, that is. He was chasing something and was trying to make it through a fence and had a heart attack.

Yeah, I remember that too.

Everything Sly ever said about that dawg makes me laugh, especially the story of sharing the train compartment (was it?) trying to get to Hollywood...

Seems like they had a great relationship.

Also, in case anyone didn't know, Cuff 'n' Link were the actual same turtles from Rocky!!

Shame he was one of the best ones in it. It gets me though if he died in 1981, then how come he wasn't in Rocky II?

That film was done in 1979.

Well, the normal time for a big dog to die is from the age of 10 to 13 years of age but little dogs can live till 16. Still we did not see the dog past the 2nd movie.
